WELCOME TO GROOVE SLANG. This blog is something I have been wanting to do for a long time. I have a ton of ideas and I'm always spitting them out of my mouth like an idiot. Obviously as a millennial I should be blogging about them right?? Over on www.jordanhefler.com I blog about the photos I have taken, but sometimes there's stuff that deserves to be talked about/shared with the world but there's nowhere to do it. My @jordanhefler instagram has served as a vehicle for random inspiration for some time now... but even still, I like to get to the nitty gritty of the thoughts in my brain. One of my favorite Led Zeppelin songs is "Ramble On" which I feel exemplifies my life perfectly, because I never shut up. My mom legit just hangs up on me sometimes when I'm talking too fast. At least typing is silent.
One of the things that is literally always on my brain is floral prints. Maybe I'm just a grandma (actually that's a fact considering the herniated disc I have in my neck and the extra vertebrae in my back that appeared out of nowhere) but I just can't control myself around a good ole' flower print. Which is so weird, because I'm really not that big of a fan of flowers IRL. Well that's a lie, I instagram them a lot. But if you were to buy me flowers I'd be like what is this for? Then I'd probably Snapchat them then throw them away. Because flowers die. Just like everything else. Ok too emo for my first blog post.... MOVING ON. I'm a sucker for vibrant colorful patterns in general, and you can find florals ALL OVER my apartment.
These bottom prints were found after literally 30 seconds of digging in my closet/looking in my room. I feel like that's kind of ridiculous, but also I do what I want.
I think the moral of this pointless story is that I'm obsessed with florals. And honestly pointless stories are going to be the premise of this entire site. I hope you stick with me through the journey. Partly because it will make me feel like I have internet friends with similar taste, and partly because if I have an audience I can start charging for advertising on my site (let's be honest.)
While you're here, do me a solid and go show some love to the Groove Slang social pages. Don't worry, content is coming!
